Description of VedaOils Basil Hydrosol:
Natural Basil Hydrosol is the by-product of steam distillation of basil essential oil. There are two types of basil namely: sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum) and holy basil (Ocimum sanctum) also called tulsi. It can be obtained from the extraction of these two essential oils. Basil is a natural antibacterial and antifungal. These two qualities make basil floral water excellent to add to lotions or 'spray recipes' designed to fight fungi.
Basil also helps active ingredients of other herbs to more readily penetrate the skin. Organic Distilled Basil Water can be used in lotions, creams, bath preparations or straight on the skin. They provide mild tonic and skin cleansing properties and are generally safe for all skin types. Floral water, with its therapeutic value, adds glow to the skin and body, along with refreshing the mind.
