Ban Phula raw honey is the greatest treasure of Sundarbans Mangrove Forest, West Bengal. Sundarbans, a forested wetland, is full of secrets and mysteries such as the story of Dakshin Rai, Bon Bibi, Begho Bhoot, and Bengal tigers. The forest is blessed with some of the most amazing plants such as Khalsi, Goran, Passur, Gewa, and Sundri and wild giant honeybees collect the nectar of these flowers and produce honey. The honey collectors around India use to come to Sundarbans in March & April month to collect the honey along with Mouwalis / Moule (local Honey collectors) in a traditional fashion. This honey is harvested along with the Moulis, local honey collector, from Khalsi Flower enriched forest areas of Sundarbans and it is produced by wild honey bees. Locally, this honey is known as Padma Madhu (Lotus Honey). It is 100% raw, natural, unheated, unfiltered, and unprocessed honey. It is light amber in color and wild in taste, containing small amounts of natural bee pollen, royal jelly, propolis, and beeswax, the benefits are plentiful with great medicinal values.
